Create Your Legacy
We are stewards of God’s bounty. Caretakers. For a brief period, we are given time, energy, and resources. What we do with these gifts ultimately defines the character of our life and the depth of our spiritual understanding.
Giving through our estate plans is one expression of the wise use of the personal resources God has entrusted to us.
We’re introducing ways that you can support the church and school that you love so that it thrives well after we are gone.
A Bequest in Your Will
Including Saint Mark’s Church in your will is easy. When you make a will, you decide what you want to leave to family members, and if you wish, provide for charities that mean a lot to you through a bequest. A bequest in a will can be in the form of a set amount of money, a percentage of an estate, or other specific assets.
Life Income Gifts
There are ways that you can leave a legacy to Saint Mark’s but also provide for yourself and your family. Life income gifts provide you or your designated beneficiary income for life in exchange for your gift. The three most common types of life income gifts are a charitable gift annuity or a charitable remainder trust.
Gifting Your IRA
If you have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), and are 70½, you can put it to work to help Saint Mark’s Church and School fulfill their mission and possibly receive tax benefits this year.
